11 reasons why im dumping live spaces.

I’m very pissed with Microsoft and most-of-all its product, and I’ve thought of steering clear of all their products for good. Starts from its dumb Windows Mobile software, and now their Live Spaces is pissing me off from head to toe. Here it goes, eleven reasons why im dumping this blog and my not too-hotmail..

    1.       You got to have fast internet connection to open windows live email and blogs.

    2.       Microsoft mobile live messenger and email is a rip off.

    3.       Microsoft only allows some characters from mobile blog post- which equals to useless.

    4.        Microsoft doesn’t pay you from those banners they put in your live spaces.

    5.       They only allow internet explorer to open your spaces straight from your live messenger.

    6.       They look ugly and so 2000.

    7.       I hate those clicking sound whenever you click links from your spaces.

    8.       They are not photo-friendly.

    9.       They are not facebook friendly.

    10.   They are not mobile phone-friendly.

    11.   I just hate it soo much.

    Bye-bye http://blueberrycakes.spaces.live.com

Now im looking for new blog provider, obviously not another live spaces and multiply. Most probably blogspot. Any other suggestion? Don’t think so. Lol.

    Hello, bobshowa.blogspot.com!

camera camera camera video camera camera

ok here it goes, a dslr with HD video recording capabilities. Nikon d90. In my point of view, a dslr wil never, ever have a video recording capabilities, since it is an slr, and only has single lens reflex, which means SLR cameras operate A SHUTTER to allow light onto the CCD to capture the image therefore they can't take video. dSLR purists (finally get the word!-instead of saying enthusiast) may not be too keen, but anyone with even a passing interest in shooting video should be keen on the SLR's big advantage over the camcorder: interchangeable lenses. All sorts of effects, from fisheye to telephoto can be achieved, as well as a greater level of control over factors such as depth of field. pretty awesome eh?

The new dslr cameras are not only become more affordable these days, but it really is become better. Now, dslr cameras are entering new age, they are now gps ready, face detection capability, hdmi ready means that you can see your pictures in your HD plasma or lcd screen and trust me my 40d's pictures doesnt look that good viewed with normal video cable in HDtv compared to my dad's d300 with HDcapabilities , furthermore, , as you can see with the nikon d90, dslr with video capture with 720p HD ready. standing ovation to nikon.

i was on the phone with my dad last night, and were talking about which is better now, nikon or canon, and he's a nikonians. I used to like this conversation since canon used to be better than nikon. full stop.

i think canon should stop following apple by upgrading their product lineup specially dslr with slight change EVERY YEAR, yes, a more megapixel, better built quality (canons made in japan and nikons are made in thai except their few high spec and high price model) and a higher number behind the DiG!C processor mighHt indulge me to upgrade, but a better competitor's goods just wont do. Having a dslr is not like owning a pocket camera, a mobile phone, a car, or a computer, with those goods, you can just easily steer clear and change your gadget to another brand if they have a better value for money. owning a dslr camera is more like a lifetime commitment, since you might have a lens collection with your camera, and many lens costs as much if not more expensive than the camera itself.

so yeah please canon. a d5markII or d6. surprise me with a killing specs. enough said.

the art of telepon genggam in indo

Saya itung2, Indonesia
    punya 11 mobile phone provider.

Gratis telpon lah, gratis
sms. Gila dlu rasanya seratus rebu saya cuma bisa tahan 3mingguan.
Compared ke jaman sekarang, gw pake nelpon sampe kuping budek bibir
doer, pake bwat sms sampe jempol kapalan juga sebulan masih sisa
    20ribuan.

blom jadian sampe jadian sampe putus lagi gara2 over communication.
Sya sampe ketawa denger ada banyak teman adik saya yg mayoritas anak2
    SMA yang begitu.

    Yah begitulah Indonesia...

    durians

I’ve got soo many things in my mind and been thinking of writing nothing instead. But I can’t. Things in my head have to go out somewhere, and since I’m jomblo at the moment; writing blog has been my fifth favorite things to do during holiday time, after travelling, eating, taking photos, and window shopping.

There are so many things changed in Jakarta’s road rules since I left it for four months. There are several new underpasses and flyovers are being build and have been built in Jakarta. I was shocked when I went off the freeway in Sunter and found that my way was directly lead to Kelapa Gading (yay!); finally- after few centuries being trapped in the “mall Artha Gading” U turn.

I always love Indonesian roads; except its dents  during “winter” and traffic jam during peak hours. There roads are speed cameras free and fully supported with bribable police, what else do u need when u got adrenaline and those pent up aggression in your body and mind. When you got the right car and the right time, every single Jakarta’s road can become your daddy’s road. Then if u had US$5 million and love speeding, this is your place. I always think, what’s on people’s mind when they bought a Ferrari in Australia? – probably just want to check how its grunts and reach 60kmh with few heads turn to them in every corner of the road- what if the owner is old and ugly?

    Oh I probably just jealous.

Since I was a kid, when my mum or dad used to send me to bed, I always asked “Can we sell all our houses and buy a Lamborghini and a Ferrari?”. It seems silly when I remember about that today. I love driving, and the sense of feeling you got when u drive a car at certain speed. When my dad picked me up last week, I straightly asked to borrow a decent company car and ask him to buy me a car in Sydney. After he started to talk, then he made me realize that if he bought me a car again, I won’t be able to sense the pride in owning a car which I bought by myself with all my sweats. According to my experience, I agree with him (although I’m still craving for a 2 doors sports car). I want this I want that. But is really worth it to spend your money on expensive cars? Then I started to think about other more important things in life rather than just spending all my dad’s money on the must decrease value goods and start thinking of investing to increase the value of my bank account. And yes, the oil price as well as parking rate issue in Sydney.

I always hate when my dad say something about don’t F-ing with the F-er to me, which also known as “Buaya mau di kadalin?”  in Indonesian. When I ask him whether I can borrow car, he lent me a soccer mum car with 7 seats, he always does this since 2006, except a four years old Galant, old enough to keep my right foot on the pedal to keep the speedometer below 150kmh, but it’s been my all time favorite sedan, looks sharp, ride sharp. And yes dad, I hate your too om-om sedan, but size does matter. I’m not a big fan of small car (in engine capacity and its dimension). I think they just gay, except for their fuel economy. I also hate people who are using a 1.5 liter car and trying to do silly and arrogant stuff on the road, they should realize that their car is just good for macet-macetan.

Changing issue, I saw Australian Idol’s runner up Jessica Mauboy sang an Indonesian song called “Sempurna” along with idol diva or whatever it called. It wasn’t that sempurna, but at least she can pronounce the Indonesian word correctly.

We know that Indonesia is not only a land of good food; it also have the best durian and sceneries. And excuse me for the pathetic conclusion and bad grammar, since my nose smells pempek goreng and I can’t be bothered to re check my writings.

    Jeans and Women

Been bengonging and staring at my stack of clothes when my mum asked me to pack up so it wont interfere my study on my first and last exam, I found Jeans and Women have some similarities.

Some are slim, some flare at the bottom, some are tight. Then occasionally you get some that put up with your shit and for some reason they're a perfect fit. You wear them (literally) all the time when they're new, over time they become a part of you and when they become uncool, you're sad to see them go.

The more I think about it, the more I can compare girls to denim.

Nice girls who would make a great 'life partner' always fit into the Levi's category. You know they're well made and good for the long haul but they just don't do it for you. It's a shame... ........at least when you're 19.........

Then there's been girls who, well.... let's just say are like your fake Shanghai, Beijing, MangDu (or whatever you want to call them) Diesels and Levi's'. You get them home and think 'What the fuck was I thinking?!'

and you might compare women with other brand of denim, such as Lee, Lee Cooper, Cheap Monday, or whatever.

In my opinion, what  every guy wants is a pair of Nudie's. Sure, they're not as high maintenance the Ksubi's, but they're well made, quite fashionable and retain for long term usages.. that might be the type of girl you guys want to have and certainly what I want to have..
    June 07

whats been on my mind! it finally came out. arh.

After I spent much of my dreaming time (between 1am to 10am) dreaming of iMac, a soon-to-be released 2G;3G;2.0 (if you got what i mean-ohwhatever they wanted to callit) Apple iPhone, Apple Macbook Pro, I finally got my eyes opened (again). What the Hell? me on Apple product? I mean dont get me wrong, I've tried to use (and finally able to used them properly) many Apple products in my life. From iPods, macbooks, and Mac Pros (all borrowed and the mac pros are uni's properties). I admired it, and a whole company a whole LOT (including Steve Jobs). Apparently with my degree I really want to work with them one day.

With an open eyes and full self consciousness,, I can see a whole bunch of reasons why I should throw my used-to-be-sweet dream machines far-far away from my mind. For myself, I prefer to use less expensive computer that have a BROAD range of software (yes macs can run windows but keep in mind that OSX can stuffed as well!), or a portable player that does a little MORE, NOT a little LESS, or a tv set box that doesnt sneer at me when I wanted something outside of iTunes. However, keep reading.

Well as you all might know (I assume so), Apple is going to released the next generation iPhone, and then my nokia n95 8gb is going to be screwed-but wait for it.  oh, I suspect it's going to have ALL the improvements I've been bitching for and that forever conversation that rooted at "what smartphone should I buy?". The iPhone will have 3G, video captured, GPS, a useable earphone jack, a new third party apps - it may even be thinner. BUT I'm Indonesian, I'll pay the  price way beyond the retail price on those bitches (sorry) with their phone provider (I will never buy a phone that goes with contract-just doesnt work for me). ohyeah, i probably have to start using iTunes err. And when I pull out my phone, people will think I'm a pretentious art student or a self absorbed enterpreneur. errh. or maybe Barney Stinson or a male Samantha Jones. Then if Carrie Bradshaw can't operate it, neither do my Mum, and she always curious about something that impossible to be explained of (oh Ilove u mum! xP).

So now what? Still it doesnt have HSDPA capabilities, 5 megapixels camera, copy paste function and 'other' nokia n-series phone capabilities, butttt.. I probably should get inline with those other folks who 'thinks differently' by doing what Steve tells 'em to and buy one. Only if it 'released' in Indo before july 28 and if the new motorola rokr or other 'thing' like blackberry bold and my mum dont come between.

    my current addiction plus plus

What a week, Sydney is 'enjoying' a very unreliable but awesome weather, while I'm not feeling very well for the weekend, and preparing to be benched in front of my desk the entire week month to finishing of coursework and studying for exam. Battling deadlines, friend(s) of mine didn’t make life easier for me by recommending me to start watching Gossip Girl. As bored as I am waiting for Prison Break season 4 to commence and my lovely How I Met Your Mother to roll new episodes, I gave the Gossip Girls a try by illegally downloading and watching the three episodes but what I didn’t know was that Gossip Girl would become my new addiction, highly distracting me from my academic ambitions. Fast forward 4 days and I have marathoned (just made the word up) through 16 intriguing episodes.

The initial impression is that Gossip Girl is the east side version of the O.C, you know, cooked using the famous recipe consisting of an insecure lower middle class boy stepping into the upper class and stir things up by falling in love with a troubled brat who’s already in love with an hunk who has an enharmonic relationship with his father. If consuming that type of media makes you feel nauseous hold on to your bucket and don’t puke just yet.

Unlike the god given O.C which was about the dreamy life in Newport Coast, house parties in Malibu and CLK convertibles as Bar mitzvah gifts Gossip Girl has more substance. Behind the facade of the lavish life on the upper east side in NY lies a story about……….people! Relations are the centre point of TV-series with conflicts, back stabbings, secrets and feuds many people can relate to regarding relationships with partners, friends, family and best friends of the opposite sex which might twist things up with your girlfriend. If Gossip Girl was a cake the base would be 7th Heaven, the berries would me Sunset Beach and the glazing on top would be the O.C. Surprisingly the produce of the TV-Series is josh Schwartz who happens to be the brain behind the O.C.

Since NY is the fashion capital of the US, the city’s sense for style and fashion shines throughout the movie with formal wears in sparkling colours and shades. Forget hot pants, surf shorts, flip-flops,  tank tops. Ivy League it what it’s all about with tasteful non-ostentatious summer wear in cheering pastel colours.

To sum up, out of nowhere, I’m also preparing to visit (read: go back) to Jakarta this winter. I’ll see you guys there! xP

PS Daddy dont forget to pick me up! lol

    d'oh!

okay, the title is d'oh as i try to avoid 'those' bad words. =)

TBC.

huhh.. bntar deh gw maw mandi dlu. hehe..

and yeah. when I needed the most. my lovely phone turned on (thank god).

then... story's over.. i got on the next bus to maroubra..

is it lame? err. tapi pelajaran paling berharga, think twice before u say something. karena when henry said " bneran gak maw ambil tas loe? " I straightly said " iya "

oh whatever.. say hello to tomorrow..

Bali as the best Island in the world - Travel and Leisure award.

hari Senin malam (23 Juli 2007) hadir beberapa kepala Perwakilan asing

kriteria tertentu. Untuk the world's best island, misalnya, kriteria yang
ditetapkan meliputi: natural attraction, activities/sights, restaurants/food, people, value.

after I watched a film called a long way to heaven on YouTube. I figured out that Balinese have a very optimistic point of view. when balinese(s) were asked how was their life after the bali bombing, they said, everything will get better.

everything will get better. love u, Bali.

another iphone and Steve Jobs story.

With Apple announcing its entry into the European cell phone market on Tuesday on the back of O2, the United Kingdom has officially rejoiced at the possibility of having the iPhone that Americans have been coveting for so long.

But amid the excitement and hype, everyone seemed to gloss over one important fact from yesterday's announcement: Apple's iPhone business model is second to none, and Steve Jobs really is smarter than the rest of the world.

The new deal with O2 highlighted two interesting points: First off, O2, much like AT&T, is more than happy to share revenue with Apple. Secondly, it displayed the naivete of O2 to actually believe that Apple will stand by it through thick and thin. Hasn't O2 watched any of the iPhone-unlocking news hitting the wire in the past few weeks? Steve Jobs doesn't care about O2; he only cares about profits. And with this new deal, Great Britain may become the best profit center Apple has ever seen.

Consider first that all of the UK is covered by GSM carriers. Whether it's T-Mobile, O2 or Vodafone, anyone in the country can put any phone on any carrier at anytime. And while this may be troublesome for the carriers, it works quite well for the cell phone manufacturers and more importantly, for Apple.
As I've mentioned before, Apple is perfectly fine with people unlocking iPhones. And while I originally stated that the UK would be the breeding ground for iPhone unlocking, it will now become the spiritual headquarters of iPhone unlocking.

In the United States, GSM carriers are not the only option, and more often than not, people are willing to go with Verizon Wireless or Sprint Nextel, regardless of the inability to easily switch between the aforementioned companies.

But in the UK, the economical landscape is much different. In fact, most Britons are more than happy to change carriers and are keenly aware of the terms "unlocking" and "SIM cards." In fact, many people in the UK have already purchased an iPhone in the States, brought it home, unlocked it and added it to their own carrier.

Steve Jobs knew that the UK is rife with unlocked phones and exclusively GSM coverage. And by looking like the best friend to O2, he's effectively pulling the same trick out of his bag: Tell everyone they can only have an iPhone on one carrier, ignore unlocking, take the revenue from O2, and enjoy higher hardware sales due to simple unlocking procedures. Once completed, head to France and Germany, rinse and repeat.

It's amazing to me just how much control one device wields all over the world. Can you think of any other product that could command such respect from a massive cell phone carrier and create a whole new way of doing business in the cell phone industry? I certainly can't.

Once again, Steve Jobs has proven that he can outsmart CEOs. Only this time, he has done it in another country. In essence, Steve let the iPhone hype soar and allowed UK carriers to drool over the long lines and 1 million-units-sold mark. And once they took the bait, Jobs had them right where he wanted them. From there, he walked in with his AT&T contract in hand and walked out laughing.

Steve Jobs has once again proven why he is the most competent CEO in the world. But more than anything else, we've learned that a sucker is born every day. Only this time, its name isn't AT&T-- it's O2.

    Apple, iConfuse!

been browsing for handheld gadgets in the last one hour, I found so many very interesting news!

a rumour of new apple iPod will come out soon in september, in the same time, that rumors has increased the price of Apple share in the US trade market by 55% from january 2007 until today.. pretty amazing..

    interestingly,

according to Sydney Morning Herald, Apple will soon release its brand new iPod. with touch screen! I think Apple has brought us a new standard of MP3 player. and it will also release a new MAC OS which called LEOPARD (im scared). I have no idea where technology will bring us in the next 1, 2 ,3, 4, 5 years from now. world is evoluting, thats all i know.

last night, I'm still dreaming to open my eyes for the next 'perfect' gadget. today, God has many answers to me.

seems like the world of technology is spinning faster than my stomach at the moment.

    shit I'm hungry. lol.

yeh, back to topic. There are so many gadgets coming out last night, nokia has released 4 new gadgets, nokia n81, n81 8gb, n95 8gb, and some other music phone. and my conclusion, i want many new gadgets!!

but my dad ever said to me, yes, they are amazing, they're awesomely irrisisttable, many boys toys coming out so soon, and he has two growing sons who craves for those things (shame dad, lol). once when i keep asking him for a new gadget, he turned and ask me a very unanswerable question to me. do you need all of that?????? so many things i wanna get, i want that n95 8gb, i want a new iPod, iWant a new, slimmer psp, in contrast, i already got phones, i got a creative zen (non arguably better than an iPod, lol, any feedback?), i got a bit bulkier psp.

time to ask myself do i need all of that??, as I'm learning economic principle (able to differentiate wants and needs) and as im growing older, I need to save, I need to plan for the future, and a consuming culture is not good. everyone has future, thats a thing I believe the most. I believe that God has written our future in His so called thing called Laptop (LOL, this is 2007).

but i am craving for those gadgets!!!!

help me, God. maybe I should read and see pictures of people in the third world country who craves for food and healthy living more often, rather than checking asia.cnet.com. huh.

    silly me.

better run to get some sushi rolls.

    August 29

    Sh*****t!!!

yeha, sh***t, thats a word I wanna say, after I read this article:

I read an article few days ago, when he unlocked a massively phenomenal gadget, iPhone.. FYI, iPhone is the latest phone that made by Apple company, yet another silly (sorry) american company.

at the moment, the gadget was locked to AT&T network and  can only be used in US territory with AT&T simcard. That lucky 17 years old young guy has unlocked iPhone so it can be used before apple released it for the world next year, great guy, indeed.

Now people want to trade a brand new Nissan 350Z (RRP AU$60,000) with the unlocked iPhone (RRP AU$730)?

    Is iPhone that great??

yes, it got 4 & 8 gig massive harddisk (for a phone) in it, but get over it, my nokia n91 even got that 4gig hard disk since it was released 1.5 years or 2 years ago! then there was an 8 gig N91 produced since last 6 months.

N91 has 3G capabilities, what u cant find in iPhone, but iPhone got a touch screen and its an [ i ]! yes, touch touch touch! easier? not for me, I used a sony erricsson p910i few years ago, before i flicked the qwerty keyboard off and i need touch screen for sms. a big no no for me. no more touch and flip at the same time (lyk p910i and p990i). done with it.

and yeah, another cockiness of apple since its 'special' macOS can only be powered by 'special' software (yang gak bisa dimasukin virus kata diaa.hehe sa), it provides its iPhone with a different headphone jack! i think its 3.2mm or something, that means u cant use your premium headphone, mate!
    ahh.....

I think still long time for me  to wake up and look for my new 'perfect' gadget. perfect with quotation mark, since nothing is perfect, except God, maybe.

You are What you write Pt.2 *

    According my previous bullshit,

ada yang ngasih tanggapan, bahwa pas kita menulis, kita gak bisa memukul rata bahwa all we write itu adalah kemauan kita. Dia argued bahwa saat dia menulis essay untuk tugas sekolah, yang berargumen adalah orang lain, or based on other people argument, bukan naturally dia yang berargumen, and dia membuat essay itu bukan based on her own interest. dan pertanyaanya.. apakah "you are what you write" masih valid?

For me, (as a cocky writer yang gak mau kalah - this supposed to be undisclosed -) my argument still valid. Jujur aja, kalo mau, gw bisa aja ngasih whatever crap argument, just like I used to do in the online forums untuk pertahanin my argument, dan mau tau hasilnya? sering kali debat2 itu malah jadi gak ada ujungnya; gw juga sering gak mau kalah kalo debat sama bokap, dy juga gak mau kalahh.!! akhirnya kalo gw gak bisa ngomong lagi gw malah nangis (fine abis ini ne blog gw bwat jadi restricted hehe). Bokap pernah bilang, manusia memang gak ada yang perfect, ada kalanya kita msti berjiwa besar (sory bahasa abit najis, gw gak tau msti disebut apa), ngaku bahwa kita salah, minta maaf, dll. tapi berhubung gw masih 19 tahun, gw blom maw lakuin itu, masih terlalu banyak hormon yang mendukung gw untuk bilang gw bner and will always be right. kadang gw masih ngerasa bahwa banyak orang yang lebih payah dari gw, sampe gw disadarkan oleh seseorang.........

    and for the first time,

"I have no memory for things I have said, I have learned, nor things I have read, nor things experienced or heard, neither for people nor events; I feel that I have experienced nothing, I have learned nothing, that actually know less than the average schoolboy in some aspects, and that what I do know is superficial, and that every second question is beyond me. I am incapble of thinking deliberately; my thoughts run into a wall. I can grasp the essence of things in isolation, but I am quite incapable of coherent, unbroken thinking. I cant even tell a story properly; in fact, I can scarcely talk.."

    High Touch v High Tech

Tahun 95, gw sempet kaget banget waktu mobil TIMOR dipasarkan.
Apa? Indonesia udah bisa bikin mobil? Hebat banget!!! Kesannya hi-tech banget gitu loohhh... (quote from Dr. Habudi, Rep. Mimpi; Metro TV-red.). But shamefully, tuh mobil CBU Korea (KIA-red.). SEsuai dengan perkiraan gwe, TImor Putra Nasional tuh ternyata cuma sarang korupsi dan bulshit2 anaknya you know who.

Hi-tech alias teknologi tinggi (katanya).

    You are what you write?

Sering kali saya mendengar orang menyebutkan "you are what you read", kamu adalah apa yang kamu baca.

you are what you write! ;p
